Honestly, it’s OK to LOL (Humor in Art, Then and Now)
Performances (Scripted)
I was invited to perform at the BeanRunner Cafe in Peekskill, NY, and for some reason, I decided to focus upon the history of humor in art. I used ancient Roman murals, medieval manuscripts, paintings by Peter Bruegel the Elder, and assorted contemporary art works to prove that great art can be funny — and vice versa! Just for fun, I included examples of my performance art, as well as art by local artists Carla Rae Johnson and Gene Panczenko. A good time was had by all, as they say.
