Susie’s Seven Secrets
Performances (Scripted)
In this short and funny performance, I become Susie. She is a parody of the dumb blond stereotype, but she happens to be a brunette. Susie considers herself to be an expert on contemporary art, and she thinks she has figured out a system for achieving success in that realm. Specifically, she recommends following the lead of the “biggest names” in contemporary art. “If you do what these guys and gals have done, you will be an art star, too,” she asserts.
She tries to make things even simpler by reducing the formula to seven key words: simple, silly, stupid, sexy, scary, sick, and . . . spots!
Hmmm. I wonder if Susie’s formula works?
