When Gene and I were shooting a video called The Affair, Gene brought along an old Super 8 movie camera. After we had shot the necessary video footage for our piece called The Affair, Gene asked our actor — Eric Teitel to “ham it up for the camera.” Later, I used this gorgeous grainy footage to develop a narrative. Gene’s amazing editing and sound work transformed my little story into a mysterious and disturbing tale with no clear resolution. The resulting experimental film is visually delicious and emotionally challenging. I love it!
