I was incredibly pleased to have been nominated, and then selected, as one of fifty artists to be honored by ArtsWestchester. Next, I was elated to be one of two honorees invited to perform at the Awards Luncheon! However, my joy turned to anxiety when I learned — three days prior to the event — that I would be performing in front of 400 people — a four-fold increase over my usual audience numbers. Well, I was nervous until the very last minute, unable to eat my awards luncheon lunch! However, when I stepped up to the microphone, all my fears disappeared without a trace. I was both calm and energized as I presented my scripted performance without a hitch! I was complimented, a lot, after the presentation. Nice, very nice.
