This work of art from the Men Series is based upon a lovely, sensuous painting by Caravaggio. In my cropping of the image, I have eliminated the elaborate headdress, the over-sized wine glass and the impressive arrangement of fruit that are seen in the original. As a result, all attention now rests with the handsome, semi-nude fellow who engages the viewer directly with his big brown bedroom eyes. I completed the composition with the addition of an intriguing and thought-provoking statement.
